Office Tranformation... Part 1

"The Concept"

A few months ago I was enlisted by my good friends to help them design a new office space.  Equipped with some inspiration photos of their favorite hotel in Vegas "Vdara" away I went obsessively hunting the web for some great ideas.

They wanted a sleek contemporary space with minimal clutter. White walls with some dark wood accents and soon a concept was born. First visit to the proposed office space: Sage green striped walls lined with childish butterfly embellishments, retail slat walls and signs for maternity and childrens clothing. Sagging popcorn ceilings everywhere. Yikes. Not exactly the look we were going for.
Office Space - Before

Nothing says professional like sage green and yellow walls.

Complete with quality ceilings and 'vintage' flourescent lighting!

First things first. Closing up that gap in the wall between the pillar and the bathroom. Next, demo (most of) the walls and rip down that wavy ceiling. The drywall didn't even make it to the ceiling on a majority of these walls. Which leads us to the design concept. Stay tuned for the reveal, demo and drywall is almost complete!
